For our new collection releases, we thought we’d do a little something different with our author Q&A section and give you a glimpse into the writers personal trope faves! (And occasionally a peek at their writing spaces and pets!). We hope you enjoy!

What is your favorite thing about Paranormal Romance?

Magic and dragons. Dragons and magic. The endless possibilities for the characters, setting, and plot.

What trope have you not written yet but want to?

Oh, this is a hard one. I think a revenge trope could be interesting.

Gena Showalter (THE DARKEST CAPTIVE):

What is your favorite thing about Paranormal Romance?

I enjoy taking a known myth and twisting the details to tell a whole new story. With the Lords of the Underworld series, I retold the tale of Pandora’s Box, and wrote a story for each of the twelve warriors responsible for opening it, unleashing demons of fear, pain, disease and death upon the world.

What trope have you not written yet but want to?

I’ve written nearly a 100 novels, so I’ve covered a lot of tropes, LOL! But one I haven’t done in a long time – or hey, maybe not ever because right now there are so many plots, with so many characters and backstories, swimming around it’s possible I’ve forgotten – is a fake relationship. Color me intrigued!
