The Open Door

(A Found Duet Novella)

by Laurelin Paige

From New York Times and USA Today bestselling author Laurelin Paige comes a new story in her Found Duet series…

I knew JC was trouble the minute I laid eyes on him.

Breaking every rule in my club. I never forget how he made me feel that night. With all the women in that room, all those bodies on display, but his eyes were only on me.

Of course I married him. Now years have passed. Kids have been born. We’re still in love as always, and the sex is still fantastic…

And yet, it’s also not. Like many who’ve been married for a while, I long for the high intensity of those days of the past.

I’ve heard rumors for years about the Open Door. An ultra-exclusive voyeur’s paradise. A place to participate in—or watch—any kind of display you can imagine.

My husband’s eyes would still be on me. And maybe other eyes too. If that’s what we want.

So when an invitation to come play arrives, how could we turn it down?

An Exclusive Interview With Laurelin Paige:

~ with Jillian Stein of Read Love Blog

Oh, how I loved this story. How did you decide to continue JC and Gwen’s story in this novella?

When I was writing Fixed Forever, I had a little subplot with the two of them getting invited to an exclusive sex party, and it was so fun imagining what that would be like for them, I just had to write more about it. I especially liked the idea of exploring a married couple that had no conflict between them except their busy lives. It’s definitely something I personally identify with.

I loved your dedication for this book so freaking hard! What’s one small piece of advice can you give folks to keep a happy marriage?

Communication. It’s when my husband and I stop talking to each other that our relationship sours. I’m not just talking about telling your spouse things he needs to know, but also the stupid things. Share what’s going on in your lives so that you’re still engaged with each other, even if you aren’t spending as much time together as you’d like.

If you could choose a theme song for this book, what would it be?

Just one? I have a whole playlist on Spotify.

If I have to narrow it down, though, I’d say Ariana Grande’s Dangerous Woman and Paramore’s Still Into You.

If you could choose one of your characters to have lunch with, who would it be and why?

You ask the hardest questions 🙂 All my characters are versions of me, in the end. Usually more neurotic, and I don’t want to have lunch with more neurotic versions of me! Again, if I have to choose, I’m going to have to say Edward Fasbender right now, from my Slay series just because he’s dark and sinister but he’s also very honest and loyal and that’s both fascinating and hot.

Can you give us a hint as to what you’re working on now?

I just finished up Ruin, the second book in my Slay series, which is out Oct. 29th. It’s about a manipulative and damaged heroine who is offered an intriguing proposition by her father’s business rival. It’s edgy and angsty and sexy and everything that Laurelin Paige books are best known for. Next I’m on to Slay Three: Revenge.

Biography:

USA Today and New York Times Bestselling Author Laurelin Paige is a sucker for a good romance and gets giddy anytime there’s kissing, much to the embarrassment of her three daughters. Her husband doesn’t seem to complain, however. When she isn’t reading or writing sexy stories, she’s probably singing, watching Game of Thrones or The Walking Dead, or dreaming of Michael Fassbender. She is represented by Rebecca Friedman.
