Oh, how I loved Adam and Jill!  How did you choose them for this story?

Adam’s been an important up and coming character in the Stage Dive novellas and it was great to finally tackle his happy ever after! I think he’s grown with having his music career take off over the last while and that was important. As for Jill, I wanted a girl who’d genuinely loved him, but wasn’t willing to tolerate being treated second best.

I am a sucker for a second chance romance.  What are some of your favorite tropes to write?

I love “Beauty and the Beast” and “Fish Out of Water”. Those two are my catnip and they kind of often feed into one another in a lot of ways. Getting to show a heroine tackling a situation that really pushes her to rise to the occasion. Along with dealing with a somewhat grumpy hero. Swoon.

I love that you have a playlist for this story.  Do you choose the songs before you write or as you go?

I tend to have a few ideas going in and then work on it as I go along and different scenes happening. It’s probably one of my favorite ways to procrastinate, but it adds a beautiful moody layer to the story that I enjoy as well. It helps to put me in the right headspace.

Where is the first place you want to go when you feel comfortable traveling again?

I’d planned to visit a friend in Arizona this month, but obviously had to cancel. We were going to go into the mountains and do some looking around at small towns. And they have such great tacos there. There’s no decent taco places near where I live in Australia. It would be wonderful to get to do that sometime soon once things are safe and be able to catch up with her.

Can you give us a hint as to what you’re working on now?

I’m working on a follow up to my amnesia book, “Repeat”. It’s Leif’s book. He was the hero’s brother. I’m really excited about it and planning on having it out next year.
