Captured in Ink

(A Montgomery Ink: Boulder Novella)

by Carrie Ann Ryan

New York Times bestselling author Carrie Ann Ryan returns to the Montgomery Ink world with three souls bruised yet forever connected in this sexy and intoxicating ménage romance.

Julia and Ronin know their relationship is solid. They’ve been through hell and back, but their love has stayed true through it all. When Ronin’s ex, Kincaid, comes back to town, however, the two realize what they might be missing.

Kincaid didn’t mean to leave Ronin behind all those years ago. When tragedy struck not once, but twice, bringing with it the heat of horror, he couldn’t face the past he’d left behind. Now, he’s back and doesn’t know how he fits in with the seemingly perfect couple—especially not when their families will apparently stop at nothing to keep them apart.

An Exclusive Interview With Carrie Ann Ryan:

~ with Jillian Stein of Read Love Blog

Oh, how I adored this story! How did you choose Julia, Ronin, and Kincaid for this story?

I wanted to write about two side characters I’d mentioned in my series and thought could be in a relationship that the Montgomerys didn’t know about. Not that it was secret, but that it existed outside the realm of the Montgomery family. The fact that the Montgomerys joke that they know all because there are so many of them makes me smile, so I turned that on it’s axis.

I also love that this was a ménage story. Did you always know these characters would be in a triad relationship?

I did! I’d always wanted to write a believable Marriage + 1 romance. I wanted to take a steady, loving, and perfectly happy relationship and add a third to their life. I never wanted to break who they were, but expand on them.

I have to say, Ronin and Kincaid’s names are two fab hero names. How do you come up with your character names?

Ha! So first, Julia is named after Julia Kent because she had a Carrie & a Ryan in her books. Ronin came from my list of cool names I’d really wanted to use and Kincaid somehow came from Kent. LOL

You write in a couple of different genres. Is there one you haven’t yet that you would like to?

I’ve written in three genres I adore. PNR, Contemporary, and YA Fantasy. I think one I might want to write one day is alien or sci fi romance. But that might not ever happen under this name haha.

What is something you’ve done that no one would expect?

I bungee jumped off a bridge in Oregon and have cliff dived in 7 different countries! (Never again lol).

Can you give us a hint as to what you’re working on now?

A very secretive Montgomery that begins with a mistake and ends with a vacation romance.

Biography:

New York Times and USA Today Bestselling Author Carrie Ann Ryan never thought she’d be a writer. Not really. No, she loved math and science and even went on to graduate school in chemistry. Yes, she read as a kid and devoured teen fiction and Harry Potter, but it wasn’t until someone handed her a romance book in her late teens that she realized that there was something out there just for her. When another author suggested she use the voices in her head for good and not evil, The Redwood Pack and all her other stories were born.

Carrie Ann is a bestselling author of over twenty novels and novellas and has so much more on her mind (and on her spreadsheets *grins*) that she isn’t planning on giving up her dream anytime soon.
