Daring Her Love
(A Bradens Novella)
by Melissa Foster
This BRADEN novella features Kat Martin, Brianna Heart’s best friend from HEARTS AT PLAY (The Bradens, #6) with appearances from the hot, wealthy, and wickedly naughty Bradens you know and love.
In DARING HER LOVE…
Kat Martin knows what she wants in a man—someone stable and adoring, definitely not the type of guy who sleeps around. After all, Kat rarely does the wrong thing—until she meets seductively enticing Eric James, and suddenly wrong has never felt so right.
When it comes to his career, race-car driver Eric James is intense, obsessive, and passionate, but when it comes to sex, there’s only one kind—daring, unbridled, and no-strings-attached.
One stormy night, a delayed flight and the dangerous allure of the unknown leads Kat to throw caution to the wind, and she indulges in a rendezvous that she vows to immediately forget—but the secret tryst stirs something possessive in Eric, and forgetting is not an option.

I devoured this novella and LOVED Kat and Eric. How did you choose them for this story?
I’m delighted to hear you loved them as much as I did! I had so much fun writing about Kat as Brianna’s best friend in HEARTS AT PLAY (The Bradens), that I have been chomping at the bit to write her story!
Their chemistry was off the charts smoking hot and I loved it! Do you blush writing such delicious scenes?
Oh my gosh! Blush, sweat, drooled…YES! Eric and Kat were super sexy together, and it was fun to get down and dirty with them.
You wrote an amazing driving scene with Eric that was incredibly descriptive. Have you ever been racing personally?
Um… That depends. Are there any policemen reading this? No comment… Kidding! I was a bit rebellious as a kid and might have done a bit of street racing, but no real racetrack racingJ That’s what research is for.
Who would you dream cast as Eric? Kat?
I’m so bad with celebrity names. I’ve attached pics of my ideal Kat and Eric.
Are there any other secondary characters you’re just dying to give a story to?
More than I can count! I really want to write about Mitch and Regina from GAME OF LOVE (The Remingtons) and after writing about Mia Stone and Reggie Steele in FRIENDSHIP ON FIRE (The Bradens) I created future series for both families.
Thanksgiving is right around the corner…tell us, what’s your favorite thing about the holiday?
Getting to see my brothers. I miss them like crazy—then the food!
You are fabulous on social media and I love that you always seem to be available for your readers. How do you balance it all?
Hm… What’s balance? I’ve heard of that “B” word before, but I’m not sure I really understand itJ I am tremendously inspired by my readers, and I love sharing everything with them, from what I’m writing, to hearing about what they want me to write. But I’m also addicted to writing, and my family, so when you put it all together, finding a balance really just means doing enough of each that I’m still smiling at the end of the day. I do achieve that, although my days run from 7a-1a, so there’s not much downtime.
What would we find on your desk right now?
About 100 sticky notes, 17 notebooks with story notes (none of which are organized in any fashion), M&Ms, a handful of empty chocolate bar wrappers, pictures of hot guys, 12 pages of erotic words (yes, really), handfuls of pens, three headsets for my phone (probably all broken), and my Love in Bloom Series Guide (gotta keep it straight!).
Can you give us a hint as to what you’re working on now?
I have five series I’m writing, and publishing in each: The Bradens at Peaceful Harbor, The Ryders, Seaside Summers, Harborside Nights, and my newest series, After Dark (Everything’s naughtier after dark…).
Thank you so much for chatting with me today. I had a great time writing about Kat and Eric, and working with the 1001 Dark Nights crew! xxo
