Cherish Me

(A Stark Ever After Novella)

by J. Kenner

New York Times and USA Today bestselling author J. Kenner comes a new story in her Stark Ever After series…

My life with Damien has always been magical, and never more so than during the holidays, a time for us to celebrate the hardships we’ve overcome and the incredible gift that is our family. Over the years, he has both protected and cherished me. He has made my life more rich and full than I could ever have imagined.

This year, he’s treating me and our daughters to a holiday in Manhattan. With parades and ice skating, toy displays and candies. And, most of all, with each other.

It’s a wonderful gift, a trip I will always cherish. But this year, I’m the one with the surprise. And I can’t wait to see the look of delight and awe when I finally share my secret with Damien.

An Exclusive Interview With J. Kenner:

~ with Jillian Stein of Read Love Blog

Oh, how I always love getting more of Damien and Nikki! When you started writing this series, did you envision it continuing on as long as it has?

No!! In fact, Release Me was originally intended to be a standalone, but after I turned in some early chapters, the feedback from my publisher was so great that they asked me to make it a trilogy. And, well, we’re WAY past three books, now!

If you had to choose the Stark Series to be either a movie or a streaming series, which would you choose and why?

A series!!! There’s so much to their story that I don’t think a movie could do the kind of justice to the plot and characters that I’d want. And, hey, there’s material for several seasons! And w/o saying anything specific, let’s just say that’s something I’m actively working on!

I loved your mention of Die Hard in this story. I have to ask (the age old debate!)…is it or isn’t it a Christmas movie?

Um, DUH. Totally a Christmas movie. How can you even ask????

What would you give Nikki and Damien as a theme song?

Alas, I’m soooo not good with music stuff, but I would LOVE to hear what readers think about that! But off the top of my head, I think Aerosmith’s I Don’t Want To Miss A Thing is a great choice!

If you had your own talk show, who would you first three guests be?

Hmmm. That’s a hard one. Kristin Chenoweth (who originated Glinda in the Broadway Wicked ) because I love her in so much stuff, Reese Witherspoon because her career path is fascinating to me and I love how she’s now promoting (and producing) books, and you, Jillian Stein, because if it’s my first show, I will need someone with me I know and who is funny and entertaining. But, hey, no pressure!

Can you give us a hint as to what you’re working on now?

Sure! At this very moment I’m answering interview questions! (Sorry. Couldn’t resist!). Actually, right now, I’m doing final edits on Destroyed With You, the fifth Stark Security book (it’s a spin-off of the Nikki & Damien novels!). Tomorrow, I’ll be back to working on My Cruel Salvation, which is the third and final book in the Fallen Saint trilogy that started with My Fallen Saint. (If you’re reading this and you’re a Stark fan, be sure to check out book 1 if you haven’t already! These characters are so awesome, reader feedback has been beyond amazing, and there’s so much of the Stark series emotion and intensity!)
