Somehow, Some Way

(A Billionaire Builders Novella)

by Jennifer Probst

Bolivar Randy Heart (aka Brady) knows exactly what he wants next in life: the perfect wife. Raised in a strict traditional family household, he seeks a woman who is sweet, conservative, and eager to settle down. With his well-known protective and dominant streak, he needs a woman to offer him balance in a world where he relishes control.

Too bad the newly hired, gorgeous, rehab addict is blasting through all his preconceptions and wrecking his ideals…one nail at a time…

Charlotte Grayson knows who she is and refuses to apologize. Growing up poor made her appreciate the simple things in life, and her new job at Pierce Brothers Construction is perfect to help her carve out a career in renovating houses. When an opportunity to transform a dilapidated house in a dangerous neighborhood pops up, she goes in full throttle. Unfortunately, she’s forced to work with the firm’s sexy architect who’s driving her crazy with his archaic views on women.

Too bad he’s beginning to tempt her to take a chance on more than just work…one stroke at a time…

Somehow, some way, they need to work together to renovate a house without killing each other…or surrendering to the white-hot chemistry knocking at the front door.

An Exclusive Interview With Jennifer Probst:

~ with Jillian Stein of Read Love Blog

I simply adored Brady and Charlotte! They are off the charts fiery and sexy together! How did you choose them for this novella?

Thank you so much!

Brady was the fourth member in the Pierce Brothers series. He grew up with Caleb, Tristan, and Dalton since college, and became a full partner of Pierce Brothers Construction so his story just had to be told! I just hadn’t figured him out yet – he was quite mysterious, and traditional, and a touch of a chauvinist.

When the enthusiastic, high energy, workaholic Charlotte was introduced in Any Time, Any Place, I just knew I had to pair her with Brady because they were complete opposites! So, in this case, the secondary characters naturally written into the book came together and declared to my Muse they were meant to be together. My job, as a writer, was to reveal their love story as they told it to me!

I love this entire series and love the design/building aspect in each book. If you could live in one of the homes you’ve written about, which one would it be?

I’m such an HGTV addict and enjoy binge watching all the shows with my family. If I had to pick one house I’d love to live in from the series, it would be the Pierce family mansion. After losing their beloved mother and matriarch, the mansion became the heart and soul of the brothers struggle to repair the breaks and tears in their relationship. It has a rich history. It’s also gorgeous! I pinned some inspirational pics on my Pinterest page if you want to take a peek, but think of a huge wraparound porch, soaring columns and high ceilings, magnificent gardens, an Infiniti pool, and a gorgeous cedar deck. It’s southern charm in a Northeastern setting, and surrounded by over 40 acres of woods.

Who would you choose to play Charlotte and Brady in a movie?

I think Amanda Seyfried would be awesome as the bubbly, stubborn Charlotte. And for my hot Latino Brady? I’d say either William Levy *YUM* or Jay Hernandez.

If Charlotte had a theme song, what would it be and why?

Start A Fire by John Legend. She’s fiery and positive and full of energy, just like this song. Plus, it’s from the movie La La Land and I’m obsessed with that movie!

Can you give us a hint as to what you’re working on now?

I’m actually working on a brand new book called The Start of Something Good. It takes place at an upstate New York bed and breakfast near a horse rescue farm. My hero is broken and returns home to heal, and my heroine gets stuck there for the summer on a PR job to supervise the wayward teen of a political client. Needless to say, there are sparks, banter, sexual tension, a crazy chicken, and a colorful cast of characters I can’t wait for you to meet! It comes out early 2018.

But look for the final installment in the Billionaire Builders on July 25th with the final brother’s story – Tristan!
